  • All powder drug should be dissolved completely.
  • Don’t push the saline into the bottle so hard. Otherwise, it will affect the drug effect.
  • During the process of dilution, do not suck the saline many time to avoid bubbles.
  • The formation of bubbles may cause the protein denaturation of HF BTXA which can affect the drug effect.
  • The re-made solution should be used immediately or put it in the refrigerator with 2-8℃.
  • The re-made solution should be used within 6 hours.
  • The efficiency will be decreased if you put the re-made solution in the refrigerator so long.
  • According to the test, 44% efficiency will be lost after 12 hours.
  • 70% efficiency will be lost after 1-2 weeks.
  • It’s easier to be contaminated if put it in the refrigerator for a long time.
  • The dosage of HF BTXA injection should be enough at each treatment.
  • The next treatment interval should be more than 3 months.
  • Because HF BTXA is protein. If you do The HF BTXA injection with little dosage and short time interval, the antibody formation will be appeared in patients.

INJECTION TIPS

In order to reduce the complication of blepharoptosis, suggestions are as followed:

  1. Avoid injection near the levator, palpebrae superioris, particularly in patients with larger brow-depressor complexes.
  2. Medial corrugators injections should be placed at least 1 cm above the bony supraorbital ridge.
  3. For cosmetic purpose, better to inject around 25 units toxin every time. No more than 100 units.
  4. It is the best to inject 2.5-5 units toxin into each injected point.

INFORMATION

Injectable HF BTXA(Botulinum Toxin Type A for therapy) is a sterile, lyophilized form of purified. Botulinum toxin type A, was produced from the crude toxin of the culture of the Hall strain of Clostridium botulinum grown in a medium containing trypticase and yeast extract. A series of purifying procedures are taken to form a crystalline complex consisting of the active high molecular weight toxin protein and an associated hemagglutinin. - After re-dissolving and dialyzing the crystalline toxin, an accurate amount of the sterile filtered (0.2 microns), toxin is added to a solution containing gelatine-dextran-sucrose, then lyophilized.

PRODUCT CONTENTS AND CONSISTENCY

  • Generally, each vial of HF BTXA contains 100 units (U) of botulinum toxin, 5mg of gelatine, 25mg of dextran and 25mg of sucrose.
  • Dilute with sterile normal saline according to the different needs before using.
  • The white loose production turns to be a colourless or yellowish transparent solution after the reconstitution.
  • One unit (U) off HF BTXA corresponds to 1 LD50 of Botulinum Toxin Type A being intraperitoneally injected into a laboratory mouse.
  • HF BTXA could block neuromuscular conduction by inhibiting the release of acetylcholine and therefore cause local muscle flaccid paralysis.

CLINICAL STUDIES

  • Cosmetic and dermatological application of in United Kingdom.
  • Clinic Application of Botulinum Toxin Type A in Removing Wrinkles for 30 patients .
  • Botulinum toxin used in children strabismus .
  • Treatment of focal dystonia and muscle spasm.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • The injection should be postponed in patients who have fever, acute infectious diseases and administered more carefully to patients with blood, heart, liver, lung diseases, active tuberculosis, pregnant women and never to children below 12 years of age.
  • HF BTXA must not to be given to those who suffers from eyebrow hyperplasia and myasthenia gravis, it is ineffective in patients with serious muscle fibre contracture.

HF BOTULINUM TOXIN USE

  • Normally, your brain sends electrochemical messages to your muscles to make them contract and move.
  • These messages are transmitted from a nerve to the muscle by a substance called acetylcholine.
  • When too much acetylcholine is released, muscles become overly active and spasm or tense up.
  • HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A blocks the nerve from releasing acetylcholine.
  • As a result, the muscle spasms stop or are greatly reduced, providing relief from symptoms.
  • Your health care provider will know how much HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A is needed to treat you effectively.
  • It's important to remember that botulinum toxin treatment is not a cure.
  • For many people, however, its effects have been dramatic.
  • With HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A, the nerve will take about 3 months to recover and begin to release acetylcholine, and the muscles may become overactive again.
  • At that point, another injection will be needed to provide relief, as long as no allergic reactions or other significant side effects occurred and clinical response was obtained.

HF BOTOX LONG TRATAL

  • Each treatment typically lasts up to 3 months and can be repeated as long as your condition responds to HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A and you do not have any serious allergic reactions or other significant side effects.
  • HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A has been used for more than 3 years to treat more than 1800000 patients worldwide, and although formal, long-term clinical evaluations have not been conducted, its safety in long-term use has been well established.
  • Although most people continue to respond to HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A injections, some people have experienced a diminished response over time. There may be several explanations for this:
    • Changes in your condition - If the pattern of your muscle activity changes, your health care provider may need to inject new muscles or change your dose.
    • Identifying and injecting the affected muscle can be difficult, complicated by the changing pattern of muscle involvement and progression of the disorder.
    • Setting appropriate expectations - You may believe your first HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A injection was more helpful than subsequent injections.
    • That's because your condition was perhaps quite severe when you had your first injection.
    • Subsequent injections are usually given before your condition becomes that severe again.
    • Therefore, the relief you experienced with subsequent injections may not have been as dramatic as the first time.
    • Antibody formation - When foreign proteins, like HF botulinum toxins, enter your body, antibodies may form.
    • If antibodies to HF botulinum toxin develop, you may no longer respond to treatment.
    • Because HF botulinum toxins are usually used to treat chronic conditions, it's important to preserve responsiveness to therapy.

LONG EFFECT

  • HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A offers sustained relief, dose after dose.
  • The relief you'll feel from one treatment of HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A will normally last for up to 6-12 months.
  • Treatments can be continued as long as your condition responds to HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A, and you do not have any serious allergic reactions or other significant side effects.
  • When the relief begins to fade, you'll return to your doctor for your next treatment.
  • Usually, HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A treatment is required approximately four times per year.
  • Because symptoms can change over time, the amount and duration of relief you'll experience can vary.
  • Consult your doctor, who can determine how to achieve the best possible results with HF BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A
